The law requires students to be in school and on time daily. We are asking parents/guardians to bring their children to school by 8:30 a.m. and pick them up by 3:30 p.m. Students must remain in school until 3:30 p.m. Please try to schedule your appointments after the school day. Hope Academy participates in the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office ERASE TRUANCY Program. The Erase Truancy program means that students who continue to have poor attendance will be referred to the Prosecutor's office. If you have temporary special circumstances which prevents your child from reporting to school on time, please notify the administrator or your child's teacher asap. Mrs. Ray is the Assistant Principal for Kindergarten through 3rd grade; Mr. Williams is the Assistant Principal for 4th-6th grade.
Uniform Policy
We are requiring all students to be in proper uniform daily. The girls are required to wear pink or white blouses with a collar and butttons, they have a choice to wear plaid or maroon skirts, skorts, or pants. The boys are required to wear white, maroon, or pink shirts with a collar and buttons, maroon or plaid ties, and gray or black pants. All students must wear street shoes or black gym shoes. Hope Academy encourages students to wear uniforms because it teaches them how to follow rules.
Healthy Children
We are doing our part to encourage healthy eating habits in our student population. A Wellness Plan is sent home every year for parents to discuss healthy eating habits with their children. We suggest for parents to start small by providing a nutritious breakfast in order to change poor eating habits.
